Member of International Campus Vienna

Sarah Bauer, BEd

My name is Sarah Bauer, and I was born in Vienna. However, I spent most of my childhood in Carinthia. From an early age, it was clear to me that I wanted to become a primary school teacher—a wish likely inspired by my own primary school teacher.

Her polite, appreciative, and considerate nature left a lasting impression on me and showed me how important the relationship between teacher and child is.

I completed my teacher training for the primary level at the University of Education in Baden, Lower Austria. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree, as continuous professional development is very important to me. It allows me to constantly reflect on and improve my educational practice.

Children have always been very close to my heart. It is a joy for me to accompany them on their life journey. I am deeply committed to supporting children in their personal development, sharing God’s love with them, and showing them that they are unique, valuable, and wonderfully created. I see this role as a great responsibility— and at the same time, a great privilege.

As a mother of two wonderful children, I also bring a lot of empathy, patience, and practical experience from everyday family life into my teaching.

Music also plays an important role in my life. I am passionate about music and would love to share this joy with the children. Music opens up creative ways of learning, strengthens the sense of community, and provides children with diverse means of
expression.

Finally, I am very grateful to be part of a dedicated team and to work at such a wonderful school. I look forward to the journey ahead and to many meaningful encounters with the children.
