My name is Maria Eloisa Figueiredo, and I would characterise myself as a truly international teacher whose ethos is to empower each and every student to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Having been born in Brazil, I studied at international schools and proceeded to complete my Bachelor studies in International Relations at Webster University in the United States. After a 10 year period working in investment banking, I pursued a Masters in European History and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Birkbeck University, and St. Mary’s University, both located in London, United Kingdom.

My teaching methods combine classroom discipline with creative and critical thinking which I incorporate in all of my lessons. I also aim to instil in students the hard work and confidence that are necessary to pursue higher education.

I am passionate about animal welfare and the arts, and spend most of my free time reading or creating crafts.
