The German poet and playwright J.C.F. Schiller describes art as “…the daughter of freedom” (Letters on the Aesthetic Education of Man, 1795, 2nd Letter).
Art is a personal expression of what is concealed from view, liberates what is hidden and allows it to assume shape.
At MCA, creativity is expression and worship at the same time. That is why it is our concern to create structures in which performance is not the main goal, but to be grateful for this gift. We hope this will awake a new culture.
We read in the Bible that wherever God is involved, there is real freedom.
At our school, we consider artistic expression a form of worship. Children create something new that comes from their inside and give glory to their creator in Heaven.
By learning how to work with colours and different materials, our students are introduced to various art techniques. They acquire a range of possibilities to express themselves artistically.
The emphasis is on discovering their own artistic freedom in painting, drawing, shaping and designing.
Music is not only an accumulation of sounds and notes. Music is a feeling, a passion, it gives us fresh impetus, it is a remedy and gives people a voice. It is always incomplete, but it is powerful and has a transforming effect.
Music accompanies and connects people all over the world every day. It moves our inner soul, touches our spirit and helps us to enter into holistic worship of God. Musical excellence is important to us in two respects.
We want to support students in developing their own musical skills and acquiring comprehensive basic knowledge in the area of musical education. At the same time, we want them to recognize that God cares a lot more about the tune of our hearts.
"The music expresses what cannot be said and about what it is impossible to be silent" Viktor Hugo
In our celebration hall (with space for about 350 people) we have a big stage (including sound and light systems) which allows us to perform dramas.
During a school year, there are many celebrations with presentations, drama, dance and music the children participate in.
