Principle Screen

Children want to recognize the root, the origin, the symbol, the cause from where we deduct the principle (the archetype), and consequently the application for life. Its the primary goal to give children the ability to discern where principles are coming from and that nothing is neutral.

It’s a false concept!

It is a challenge for both Christian parents and educators today to help children recognize that everyone has a worldview. When we read “Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw for example we see through all his writing that he allows his disdain for God’s bride to shine through. Shaw was a Marxist-Socialist and accepted Nietzsche’s “superman” image of humans.

Another example is Mark Twain. We have to know that his view toward the church was anger-laden and his view of life descended deeper into depression and a dark abyss of rebellion towards God, as he grew older. Also there is the original story of Pinocchio, written by Carlo Collodi, which describes the story of a bad little boy who needed redemption, whereas Disney’s version teaches that the puppet was good at heart (Ps. 14/3).

An author’s worldview will always display itself on the pages of his book.
